Shincha (“new tea”) is a green tea from Japan that comes from the first harvest of Spring. The freshest tea available! Shincha is created in the same way as sencha however these tea leaves are from only the first harvest.
Hashiri means "early season" in Japanese. Hashiri Shincha is produced from new-growth leaves harvested at the end of April - the very first harvest available. These early-season leaves are very soft and contain a unique sweetness. This is the taste of spring.
